As a part of the  International Womens day celebrations, Streechetana organised an informative session on March 7     , 2017,2.30 pm at Alakapuri, Kozhikode. Renowned literacy figure K.P.Sudheera inaugurated the function. She spoke of a women’s right and freedom to travel alone. On the occasion she vehemently stated that this right and freedom should not be hindered in any way by society. Women should prove themselves strong to those who take her to be frail and insignificant.

The Nila- Educate a daughter scholarship, amounting to Rs.6,000/- , a venture by Streechetana since the past ten years, to educate girl children was awarded to Athulya.K.R and Struthi Sasank.

The Canara Bank retired senior manager and financial counselor K.P.Prabhakaran Nair, spoke on the topic Financial Literacy and Digital Transaction. He explained about existing bank schemes, the use of cards and their merits along with the safety measures to be considered while using them. Streechetana President A.R.Supriya presided over the function. Lathika C.T, Beena Pramod and Alphonsa Mathew spoke on the occasion.
