A training programme for women in paper bag making and screen printing was organized from February 16th to 20th, 2008 in collaboration with Canara Bank. 26 selected women attended the four day training.

A two day training programme for women in making fancy ornaments was organized in association with Canara Bank on 21^st and 22^nd of February, 2008. 25 selected women attended the training programme.

A combined inaugural function was held which was attended by around 100 women. Sri.U.G. Pai, DGM Canara Bank, inaugurated the training programmes. Dr. P.A. Lalita, Managing Director, Malabar hospital was guest of honor. Sri.G.H.S. Iyer, AGM, Canara Bank, Sri.M. Balakrishnan, Manager, Lead Bank, Kozhikode, Sri. Haneesh Babu, Manger, Canara Bank and Smt. Sudharma, Manager, Cell for Entrepreneurship Development for Women also addressed the gathering.
